Conservatory Spring '26

Playhouse Stage Conservatory - a multi-faceted training opportunity for pre-professional musical theatre students. Classes run Tuesday through Friday, with exact hours varying depending on level placement. The Conservatory will include the opportunity to take Acting, Tap, Ballet, Musical Theatre Dance, & Coaching classes weekly. Students will be placed by level for each technique, allowing instructors to provide appropriately leveled training and a student specific schedule and curriculum. Levels will be based on instructor evaluation. The Conservatory's five weekly classes are intended for students who plan to audition for Playhouse Stage Academy productions or pursue BFA programs in college.
Sing, Dance and Act with Me (Semester - Spring)

Calling all young performers! Combine singing, dancing and acting into one fun filled class! Focused on creative drama, students will use their imaginations to create characters and tell stories using their voices and movement!
Young Artist Spotlight (Semester - Spring)

Students will sing, dance and act using material from their favorite musicals and TV shows! Learn the foundations of musical theatre - expanding vocabulary and building skills - all while keeping it fun. Use your imagination, be creative and build confidence!
Acting - Beginner / Intermediate (Semester - Spring)

Learn the foundations of a variety of acting techniques! Explore improvisation and characterization to begin building a "tool belt" of tactics - improving your confidence and performance as a young actor.
Acting - Advanced (Semester - Spring)

Take your acting skills to the next level through deeper analysis of text. This focus on varying acting techniques is excellent college prep and essential for all advanced musical theatre students.
Musical Theatre Techniques - Advanced (Semester - Spring)

Focusing on presenting strong, emotionally driven performances through song, students will work on song interpretation in a master class setting. Text analysis, acting exercises and emotional work will take your performance to the next level. All aspects of Musical Theatre performance will play a role in this class - from vocal instruction to physical movement to scenework. Formerly called "Coaching" this class is an ideal place for any student who loves to perform in musicals!
Musical Theatre Techniques - Intermediate (Semester - Spring)
